Terms of Service

These are the rules of using BokehFrames. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Same operator as the Privacy Policy: NanoApp Studio (India), reachable at hello@bokehframes.com.

1. The service, briefly

BokehFrames lets you build a portfolio site, deliver private galleries to clients, and connect to the editing tools you already use (Premiere, Resolve, Lightroom, etc.). You get an account with a subscription tier; we run the service in exchange for the subscription fee.

2. Your account

• You are 18 or older, or have a parent / guardian's permission
• You give us accurate information when you sign up
• You keep your password and access tokens private
• You're responsible for what happens under your account

3. Subscriptions and billing

• Plans, prices, and limits are shown on our pricing page
• Free tier exists with limitations described on the pricing page
• Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel
• Annual plans are billed up-front; you can switch tiers any time
• Cancelling never interrupts service: your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to the free tier
• Refunds: monthly plans are non-refundable. Annual plans carry no automatic refund; on request within 30 days of purchase — and at our discretion after that — we refund the annual payment minus the months you have used (any started month counts), with those months charged at the plan's monthly rate, since the annual discount pays for the full-year commitment. Refunds go to the original payment method with a credit note against the original invoice
• If a payment fails, we'll retry a few times and email you. After 14 days of failed payment we may downgrade or suspend the account.

4. Your content

Your photos, videos, signatures, and portfolio content are yours. You own the copyright; you decide who sees what.

You give us a limited license to host, copy, render, and serve your content as needed to provide the service (e.g., generating thumbnails, transcoding videos, building your public portfolio, delivering a download zip to a client). This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.

We don't use your photos to train AI models. We don't sell your content. We don't share your private galleries with anyone you didn't share them with.

5. AI features and face recognition

We use automated analysis to suggest tags for your photographs and to screen uploads for prohibited content. Suggestions are proposals — nothing is applied to your work unless you accept it.

Face recognition is optional and off unless you switch it on. If you do, faces in your photographs are analysed so that naming a person once finds them across your own library. Your photographs are never matched against another account’s.

Face data is biometric data, and in many jurisdictions — including under the EU GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act — analysing it requires the consent of the people concerned. The people in your photographs are your clients and their guests, not ours. By switching the feature on you confirm that you have whatever consent or other lawful basis your jurisdiction requires, and you accept responsibility for that. We provide the tool; the relationship with the people in the frame is yours.

You can switch it off at any time. Doing so permanently deletes every face signature and every name associated with your account, including at our processor. If somebody who appears in your photographs asks you to remove their face data, switching the feature off achieves that; we can also assist at privacy@bokehframes.com.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use BokehFrames for:

• Illegal content (including CSAM — instant ban + reporting)
• Content you don't have the rights to use
• Spam, scraping, or automated abuse
• Misrepresenting your identity (passing off as someone else)
• Trying to break, probe, or attack our infrastructure
• Building a competing service from our APIs

We may remove content that breaks these rules and, in serious cases, terminate the account.

7. Third-party integrations

Connecting Lightroom / Premiere / Resolve / Pinterest / Meta / Google / etc. is your choice. Once connected, those services' terms also apply when you use them through BokehFrames. We're not responsible for what those services do or for changes to their APIs that may break the integration.

8. Service availability

We try hard to keep the service up. We don't promise it'll always be available. If there's an outage long enough to materially harm you on a paid plan, write to us and we'll work something out (credit or pro-rated refund).

9. Changes to the service

We'll add features, change UI, and occasionally retire features. If we retire a paid feature you specifically rely on, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

10. Termination

• You can cancel any time from your billing page
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms
• On termination, your content is deleted within 30 days per the Privacy Policy

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our maximum liability to you in any 12-month period is the amount you paid us in that period. We're not liable for indirect damages (lost profits, lost data caused by your own actions, etc.).

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it can't legally be limited (gross negligence, willful misconduct, statutory consumer rights).

12. Disputes

These terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes go to courts in Bangalore, Karnataka. If you're a consumer in another jurisdiction with stronger rights, those rights still apply to you.

13. Changes to these terms

We'll post material changes here with a new "Last updated" date and email account-holders for significant changes. Continued use after the change means you've accepted it.
